New Delhi: A 32-year-old man, who celebrated his birthday by firing pistol in the air, was arrested from Central Delhi recently. Police have said that the accused, Faizan, made a video of the incident and uploaded it on Tik-Tok application which then went viral on social media. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Mandeep Singh Randhawa, elaborating the incident, said, “On the intervening night of August 10-11, a video went viral on different social media platforms in which a person was seeming firing in the air with a weapon in his hand.” Also Read – After eight years, businessman arrested for kidnap & murderThe DCP further said that the video was uploaded on Tik-Tok and later went viral on other social media platforms. After examining the video, the place of occurrence was identified as a public street in Suiwalan in Chandni Mahal. According to police, the accused was arrested from Akhade Wali Gali. The investigation revealed that on August 10, Faizan was celebrating his birthday and after shooting video of himself firing the weapon, he uploaded it on TikTok and when it got viral, he disappeared from his house and hid himself to evade arrest. Police said that the accused is engaged in a catering business with his father. “He planned his birthday celebration differently and making it special. So, he took a country-made pistol from a person of Chandni Mahal area and recorded the alleged video and further uploaded the same,” an investigator said. One country-made pistol and one mobile used for making Tik-Tok video was seized by the police.
