Lae Snax Tigers in trials against Hagen Eagles

first_imgTigers Coach Stanley Tepend will test his school boys after exporting a handful of season campaigners to the Hunters at the end of last year.Tepend said young guns through the Lae School Boys rugby will take up spaces left behind by Hunters recruits, something the Lae franchise has done in recent years. They will be led by former Kumuls David Loko and veteran Roy Kela, while the Eagles will rely on former Kumuls duo Francis Ray and George Moni.Eagles coach James Kops, who had assisted Tepend in the last PMs VIII, has raw talent in stock that are all prepared to give the Morobean boys an exciting pre-season encounter.Tepend said Eagles are an unknown side as the Tigers have not had a game against them last year due to the pool format played in the last couple of years. Both teams have been in camp for several weeks and are set to unleash their talents before an expected bumper crowd in Mt Hagen. The game kicked off at 2pm.Tigers and Eagles are two of the 11 teams that will take part in the 2016 Digicel Cup season.last_img read more
