Related XTERRA England, the off-road triathlon festival raced and won by Ben Allen and Jacqui Slack on 8 September, will be screened on Channel 4 television in the UK as part of a 30-minute highlights programme. The TV show will air on Saturday 12 October on Channel 4 at 07.30 GMT, before moving to repeats across the Channel 4 network, Sky Sports and Eurosport over the coming months.Millions of viewers will enjoy the new annual sporting spectacle that is located in the stunning Vachery Estate in Cranleigh, Surrey. The 2013 edition featured the XTERRA England Championship triathlon – a 1.5K swim in the private spring-fed Vachery Lake, before hitting the trails and singletrack of the classic British woodlands for a 30K mountain bike ride, then completing the race with a tough 10K trail run.The race in south east England attracted some of the best athletes in the world including Ben Allen, Sam Gardner, Yeray Luxem, Hector Guerra, Jacqui Slack and Kathrin Muller, as well as 350 age group athletes who were competing for their own personal goals or to grab one of the 40 qualifying slots on offer for the XTERRA World Championship in Maui, Hawaii.The TV show will also feature action from the XTERRA Sprint Triathlon, 1,500m and 3,000m swims, the event’s big expo and live music stage, capturing what was ‘a fantastic and inspirational day of racing and outdoor enjoyment in the heart of South-East England.’The race is open already for 2014, with the race date set for 23-24 August and a new Women’s Only Super Sprint added to the schedule. Super-early bird pricing is open until the close of play today, 30 September, for all races; and athletes are recommended to enter early to confirm their race place as all events are set to sell out following the TV show’s first screening.As in 2013, all entrants in 2014 will receive a commemorative t-shirt and every finisher receives a medal and complimentary food and drink and More Than Massage physio post-race care. Hong Kong-based Agritrade Resources Limited has finalized the purchase of a very large crude carrier (VLCC) from Marshall Islands-based shipping company Chris Tanker Corporation.Featuring a capacity of 309,300 dwt, the VLCC, which is classified by Lloyd’s Register, was constructed in December 2001.The VLCC is scheduled to join its new owner in January 2017.The company said that its wholly-owned subsidiary Fair Cypress Limited purchased the oil tanker at a consideration of USD 23.7 million.The parties earlier said that the USD 2.37 million will be paid as a deposit within three business days upon the signing of the agreement, while the remaining amount of USD 21.33 million will be paid upon the delivery of the VLCC.Following the completion of the deal, the group will own three VLCCs, “which would contribute stable, sustainable and diversified income and cash flows to the group on a long-term basis,” Agritrade Resources said.
